Jonathan Henry Jay ( born March 15, 1985 in Miami , Florida ) is an American baseball player who plays for the Chicago White Sox Major League Baseball Club. Plays as a central outfielder . Champion of the 2011 World Series at St. Louis Cardinals .

Career
He played baseball at the University of Miami . Selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the second round of the 2006 draft pick.
In Major League Baseball, he made his debut on April 26, 2010 in a duel against Atlanta Braves , having hit the bat with a pinch-hit [1] . The first home run was knocked out on June 1, 2010 in a duel against the Reds , with the filing of Johnny Cueto [2] .
After the exchange of centerfielder Colby Rasmus , John Jay began to play in the first team. In the 2011 season , Jay played 159 games, most of all in the Cardinals. Spent all the games in the Postseason, which helped St. Louis become the winner of the World Series.
In May 2012, he was transferred to the 15-day injured list due to shoulder problems. June 22 returned from there.
Interesting Facts
He is the full namesake of the famous American figure, the first chairman of the US Supreme Court, John Jay , because of which he received many nicknames such as “Federalist” and “Founding Father” [3] . Also has the nickname Double Jay. All of this was awarded to him by former Cardinals manager Tony La Russa .
