History
Until 2015, the canton consisted of communes:
Amele , Bezieu , Bonnet , Brel , Bussy-le-Daur , Varlois-Bayonne , Vekmon , Ver-sous-Corbi , Villers-Bretonneux , Vaux-sur-Somme , Daur , Corbi , Lamotte-Brebrier , Lamotte-Varmuze , Laussua , Le Hamel , Marseille , Aubigny , Ribmont -sur- Ancré , Franville , Fuyua , Eyy , Enancourt .
As a result of the reform of 2015 [1], the composition of the canton was changed. It includes the individual communes of the abolished cantons of Bri-sur-Somme , Willer-Bocage and Domar-en-Pontiou .

Policy
In the 2017 presidential election, residents of the canton gave Marine Le Pen 32.7% of the votes in the 1st round against 22.1% from Emmanuel Macron , 17.3% from Jean-Luc Melenchon and 14.2% from Francois Fillon ; in the 2nd round, the canton was defeated by Macron, who received 51.6% of the vote. (2012 Round 1: Francois Hollande - 28.3%, Marine Le Pen - 25.8%, Nicolas Sarkozy - 22.3%; Round 2: Hollande - 55.2%).
Since 2015, the canton in the Council of the Somme department is represented by Patricia Wibo (Patricia Wybo) and Alex Gaffez (both - the National Front ).
