History
The group “Did not wait” was created in February 1987 [1] [2] .
The first festival entrance “Not Waited” for the general public happened in May 1988 at the Rock Forum in Vilnius [1] .
The group gained fame in the circles of Soviet alternative music after performing in Moscow at the first festival “Syrok” in December 1988 [1] [2] [3] .
The group consisted of 6 people. The style cannot be defined: it is the interference of various individuals, musical influences and passions [4] . Their music is striking with particular optimism at the time of the approaching apocalypse ("feast during the plague ..."). On stage, they radiate outlandish energy, exploring their physical and spiritual potential.
Their original and fresh approach to music made them popular on the Soviet underground scene. In 1989, they traveled to the West for the first time: at the suggestion of Artemy Troitsky, the group “We didn’t wait” was included among Soviet rock artists who represented Soviet rock culture at a conference in Glasgow [2] . In Holland, they were offered to record their first album (“Rhinos and Another Life”, 1990 ).
The band rarely performed in their native Tallinn [5] . In one of the interviews of that time, Soibelman explained this by saying that “Since we are not singing Estonian, the Estonian public doesn’t really like us and is not very interested in us. We have a little Russian-speaking audience, and even fewer people who will listen to our music ” [5] .
The first tour of East Germany was conducted in 1991 [6] .
In total in the format of the group “We didn’t wait” the musicians made more than 18 concert tours in Europe , Canada , and Japan .
On October 14, 2000, in the Moscow Cultural Center “Dom”, the only concert of the “Ensemble of the Mad Klezmer” “No Waiting” took place [7] .
Today, 4 participants live in Tallinn , Leonid Soibelman - in Berlin , Ilya Komarov - in the Swiss city of Zurich .

Quotes
- “If the rest of the Syrka groups were playing the day before yesterday, who were yesterday’s, and who today’s music is, at best, they DON'T WAIT looked in the day after tomorrow and showed us a cookie. The action of this fig was amazing: embracing, sitting punks, hipy, majors and old farther, and in their eyes - perhaps the first time in my life! - shone like a thought. As they say, you can give everything for it ... " [3] - S. Guriev, V. Murzin, 1989 .
