Biography
He began his football career with the Novogireevo team. One of the first Soviet trainers - football theorists. Five - time champion of Moscow . He graduated from his coaching career in May 1941 after a fight between CSKA and Leningrad Dynamo football players during a match on May 3, 1941. The author of the book Fundamentals of Football Technique is one of the first manuals on the theory and methodology of football in the USSR. In 1947, he was repressed on false charges. He died in the camp. After death he was rehabilitated.
The next year, after the arrival of the Basques, at the start of the new season, the star of the newcomer to the championship - the Moscow Torpedo, suddenly flashed. Individually, the players of this team were less powerful than the players of our leading clubs, but one after another they turned out to be defeated by Spartak, Kiev Dynamo, Metallurg ... The secret of the car factory's success was simple. While the other teams were swinging, they resolutely reorganized their game on a double-ve system.
At that time, Torpedo was led by Sergei Vasilievich Bukhteev, the most educated and cultured person, I tell you, a man. He himself was a good football player, before the revolution he played for the famous club Novogireevo, and then for the teams of Moscow and the RSFSR. He wrote one of our first special textbooks, “Fundamentals of Football Technology”. Bukhteev was fluent in English and closely followed foreign sports literature. At first theoretically, and then practically - at matches with the participation of the Basque national team - he became convinced of the advantages of the double-ve system and began to master it in his team. The Red Army team coach, an experienced athlete who, however, failed to instill due respect for the rules of the game and the physical safety of the “opponent”, was removed from their work ...
