Club career
He began his career at the Reed club, where he made his debut at the age of 17 in the 2003/04 season. In 2005 he moved to the Vienna club Austria , where in 2006 he won his first trophy, namely, he won the Bundesliga . On April 9, 2009, the 23-year-old defender of the Austrian national team signed a contract with the Red Bull club for a period until June 30, 2012, but after its termination the contract with the bulls was extended for another 2 years.
Team Career
Shimer made his debut for the national team in October 2007 in a friendly match against the Swiss , but he was expelled from the application for the 2008 European Championship . In total, he played 25 matches for the national team and scored 4 times in them.
