Biography
Alexandrian merchant, deputy of trade.
In 1871 he was elected vowel of the Alexandrian City Council and a member of the City Council.
In 1879 he was elected mayor of Alexandria. During the years of his reign, the city built: Pokrovskaya Church, a female gymnasium , two primary schools, a shelter for the poor and crippled, buildings for the City Government and the Orphan's Court, as well as barracks for three batteries of the 34th artillery brigade. In 1886 he founded the Alexandria Public Library.
