Biography
German Ivanovich Zoldner was born on October 31 ( November 12 ), 1872 in Kiev. From the nobles.
In 1889 he graduated from the Kiev Real School , in 1891 - the Alekseevsky Military School , and later - the Officer Artillery School .
With the rank of colonel, he participated in the First World War . He was the commander of the 115th artillery brigade. By the highest order of March 4, 1917, he was awarded the St. George's Arms for courage.
In 1918 he entered the service of the hetman army. September 7, 1918 he was appointed commander of the 5th light artillery brigade.
In October 1919 - artillery inspector of the Omsk group of forces of the Kolchak army . Member of the Siberian ice campaign . By order of the Far Eastern Army of May 27, 1920, he was awarded the distinction of the military order "For the Great Siberian Campaign . " Artillery inspector of the Far Eastern Army and member of the military council.
After the defeat, Kolchak emigrated. He lived in Harbin , where he served in a private company. He was an assistant to the head of the local department of the Russian All-Military Union (ROVS) and chairman of the association of the Alekseevsky military school. At one time he acted as secretary of the editorial board of the Russian Word. He was buried in Harbin at the New Cemetery.
