Biography
He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Zagreb in 1981. He began his political career in Karlovac , where he was first a deputy of the city council, and then mayor of Karlovac from 1997 to 2001. In the parliamentary elections in 2003, he was elected to the Croatian parliament , but passed the parliamentary mandate because he became Prime Minister Ivo Sanadera as Minister of Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship in the Government.
January 12, 2008 in the second government of Prime Minister Sanadera became Minister of Defense. He remained in this position until December 29, 2010 .
He was married to Giurgiice Vukelic, had a son.
Died May 3, 2013 in Karlovac. At the time of his death, politics was only 55 years old.
