¡Dos! - The tenth studio album of the American punk rock band Green Day , was released on November 13, 2012. This is the second album from the ¡Uno trilogy ! ¡Dos! ¡Tré! .

Content

Record and Release

The album was recorded at the same time as ¡Uno! and ¡tré! , other trilogy albums. The trailer for the album was released on June 21, 2012 on the band’s official YouTube channel. He included part of the song “Fuck Time” ^[1] . Green Day released previews of the songs “Makeout Party”, “Wild One”, “Fuck Time”, “Lady Cobra” and “Nightlife” during an interview on BBC Radio 1 ^[2] .

Themes and Compositions

Billy Joe Armstrong said in an interview that ¡Dos! will be in the style of the garage rock band Foxboro Hot Tubs , a side project of Green Day ^[3] . The song “Fuck Time” was originally performed as a Foxboro Hot Tubs song ^[4] .

Unlike the first album of the trilogy, this album features thirteen tracks. The thirteenth track "Amy" is dedicated to the death of Amy Winehouse . “Nightlife” was performed with the participation of Lady Cobra from the group Mystic Knights of the Cobra. The song is one of the slowest and darkest in the trilogy and includes Lady Cobra performed rap ^[5] . The track "Stop When the Red Lights Flash" became one of the soundtracks for the game Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) .
