Kachkanar city district - a municipality in the Sverdlovsk region of Russia , belongs to the Northern administrative district .

The administrative center is the city of Kachkanar .

From the point of view of the administrative-territorial structure of the region , GO is located within the boundaries of the administrative-territorial unit of the city of Kachkanar . ^[3]

Geography

Kachkanar urban district is located in the western part of the Sverdlovsk region , on the eastern slope of the Ural Mountains , bordering the Perm Territory . The total area of the district is 31,839 ha.

History

In 1996, the city of Kachkanar and the territories subordinate to the city administration formed the municipal entity “the city of Kachkanar”.

Since January 1, 2006 the municipality “Kachkanar city” has been preferred to the Kachkanar city district ^[4] .
