Shchaharam ( malayal. ശകാരം ) - shcha, the letter of the Malayalam alphabet means deaf alveolo-palatal fricative [ ɕ ]. When pronouncing, the tongue drops so that the tip of the tongue falls over the front teeth to the lower jaw. [1] Akshara-sankhya - 5 (five). The unicode character is U + 0D36.
Graphically close to spelling the letters schaharah is spelling chillakshara ൾ, which is a variant of writing retroflex lahara ള without a vowel sound (viram).
