History
The history of Empire-Pharma CJSC began in 1996. At that time, the company was engaged in the purchase of medicines in the secondary market and the sale of drugs to pharmacy chains.
- In 1999, Empire-Pharma entered into the first contracts with manufacturers and entered the federal level by organizing direct deliveries to hospitals in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region , as well as to pharmacy chains in the Southern and Central Federal Districts of Russia.
- In 2004, the company became a member of the supplementary drug supply program in St. Petersburg. Within the framework of this project, a database has been developed with which you can track the movement of drugs in pharmacy chains.
- In 2005, by decision of the Government of St. Petersburg , the Empire-Pharma company was approved as the only supplier of medical products for privileged categories of citizens in St. Petersburg. In 2006, Empire-Pharma CJSC won a series of contests for the provision of medicines to beneficiaries at the federal level.
- In 2008, the company won the competition for the supply of medicines and medical supplies to all medical institutions under the jurisdiction of the St. Petersburg Health Committee [1] .
- In 2010, the company opens 4 branches and 28 representative offices in cities of the Russian Federation.
- In April 2011, the company launched a project to build a logistics terminal with a total area of 25,000 square meters. A branch was opened in Yekaterinburg and 2 more representative offices.
Activities
According to the results of 2013, the company is in the Top-15 of the largest pharmaceutical distributors in Russia in terms of the share of direct deliveries of medicines [2] . The central office is located in St. Petersburg . Logistic centers of the company are located in the Moscow and Leningrad regions. [3] . Today, the company employs more than 500 employees.
In 2012, the company launched the social educational project IMPERIA MUSEUM [4] . This is an online museum, which presents materials on the development of pharmacy, discoveries in the field of pharmacy , biographies of prominent scientists and doctors [5] .
