Career
Started playing in the Oberliga club. After his debut in the 1958/59 season, he began to appear regularly at the base. Already in his second season of 1959/60, he became the top scorer in the championship with 30 goals in 28 matches. In the German Cup final on June 24, 1961 in Hanover against Borussia Dortmund, he scored in the 67th minute.
