Terrorist attack
Passenger train No. 382 Grozny - Moscow (locomotive - electric locomotive ChS2-772 , driver Kireyev, assistant driver Kisilev, registry office - ТЧ-33 Necklace , population 386 people) followed the 2nd route of the Uzunovo - Bogatishchevo Paveletsky direction of the Moscow railway , when picket 6 (152.5 km, from Moscow) at 153 km, at 7:10, an explosion occurred under the front tracker of an electric locomotive, by which a piece of rail was ripped out. The driver immediately applied emergency braking , but, by inertia driving over the site of the explosion, the locomotive and 6 wagons went off the rails , and 5 of them (from the 2nd to the 6th) fell on their side. Due to the descent of the train, one support of the contact network was damaged and 200 meters of wires were cut off. Of the passengers 105 people were injured, of which 8 were hospitalized. One of the factors due to which no one died was the low speed of the train, as at the Uzunovo station there was a transfer of locomotives (Uzunovo - docking station), and the explosion occurred 3 kilometers from the station, when the train had not yet managed to accelerate properly.
