Hassan-efendi ibn Abdullah al-Alkadari ( Lezg Gyasan-efendi Abdullagyan hwa Alkvadarvi , Arabic. حسن افندى الالقدارى [ 1] ; October 15, 1834 , Balakhani - September 12, 1910 , Alkadar ) - the greatest scientist-historian, poet, enlightener of pre-revolutionary Dagestan , Islamic jurist [2] .

Biography

His fuller name is Hasan-effendi ibn Abdullah ibn Kurbanali al-Alkadari ad-Dagistani. He was born on October 15, 1834 in the village of Balakhani . His father Abdullah, son of Kurbanali from the village of Alkadar of the Kyurinsky district (now Suleiman-Stalsky district ) moved to the village of Balakhani with his teacher and father-in-law Magomed Yaragsky . Abdullah Alkadari was considered a great expert in various sciences: grammar, logic, the Koran , Hadithology, dream interpretation, mathematics, the basics of versification, etc. His mother was called Hafsa (Hafsat) [2] . By nationality Lezgin .

Hasan Alkadari was fluent in Arabic, studied Turkic and Persian . He studied at the Akhtyn madrasah under Mirza Ali al-Akhta . He studied the works of famous Eastern authors on astronomy "Sharh al-Mulahhas" and the philosophy of "Sharh al-Khidayat." Alkadari spoke with great respect and pride about al-Akhty and dedicated several of his panegyrics to him [3] . He studied the basics of Islamic jurisprudence .

Hasan Alkadari taught Arabic sciences at the Alkadar Madrasah.

Alkadari worked as secretary of the Curin ruler, General Yusufkhan , a member of the district court ( divan runner ) and Naib of South Tabasaran. For twelve years he wrote books and collaborated with well-known newspapers, magazines at that time. He also had lively correspondence with prominent scholars, poets, and religious figures.

Hasan Alkadari knew the history and culture of the peoples of Dagestan well . He himself was a participant and witness of many historical events: on August 25, 1859 he was present at the capture of Shamil [4] .

In 1865, he received the rank of cadet when he was an employee in the Kurinsky District Court.

In 1867 - lieutenant when he was the naib of South Tabasaran.

In 1874, he was a lieutenant, and thereby, according to the then laws of the Russian Empire, he acquired the rights of a personal nobility.

The eldest son of Hasan of Alkadar, Abumuslim, served in the personal guard of the Russian Tsar Alexander III in St. Petersburg.

After the uprising that broke out in 1877 in Dagestan , Hasan Alkadari was accused of participating in this uprising. In 1879, he was imprisoned and exiled to the city of Spassk , Tambov province . In Spassk, he entered into close ties with local Muslims, as he had knowledge of Islam and Sharia . While in exile, Hasan Alkadari met many educated, well-known Tatar scholars, poets, and religious figures. His impressions of the region, in which he had to spend four years, Alcadari described in detail in the book "Sofa al-Mamnun" [4] . In 1883, he was able to return under an amnesty announced by Alexander III .

Proceedings

Hasan Alcadari is the author of many books in classical Arabic , Turkic, Persian, and languages. Especially famous is his famous historical chronicle “ Asari-Dagestan ”, which covered the history of the peoples of Dagestan for many centuries. The first edition of the book was published in 1903 in Baku in the Azerbaijani language, and in 1929 the book was already published in Russian (the translator is Alcadari’s son, Ali Hasanov ).

In 1912, the book "Jirab al-Mamnun" was written, which outlined the main provisions of the Sharia (mainly Shafi’s law school ) and other issues on Islam.

In 1913, “Divan al-Mamnun” was written - a collection of poems in which events of 1877 were described in detail [4] .

  • Khanmagomedov, Beidullah Gadzhi-Kurbanovich (1927-1997), Doctor of Philology, specialist in the Tabasaran language.
  • Shikhsaidov, Amri Rzayevich (b. 1928) - Soviet and Russian orientalist, historian, Islamic scholar, professor.
  • Khanmagomedova, Zumrud Gadzhi-Kurbanovna (1915-2001), poet and teacher, the first Tabasaranka who received higher education.


Memory

November 14, 1984 at the Institute of Language, Literature and Art. G. Tsadasa held an anniversary scientific session dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Hasan Alkadari.

September 29, 1995 Institute of Language, Literature and Art. Gamzata Tsadasa together with the Hasan Alkadari Foundation and the Dagestan branch of the Russian Culture Fund held a scientific conference dedicated to the life and work of Hasan-Effendi Alkadari [7] .

September 26, 2009 in with. Alkadar of Suleiman-Stalsky district has a museum of Hasan-effendi of Alkadar [8]
