Putila ( Ukrainian Putila , Ukrainian Putilka , Ukrainian Putilivka ) - a river in Ukraine , flows through the territory of the Putilsky district of the Chernivtsi region . The right tributary of the Cheremosh ( Danube basin).

The river is 42 km long, the basin area is 391 km². The valley is V-shaped, 100–300 m wide. The floodplain is asymmetric, discontinuous, with a width of 40–60 to 100–150 m. The channel is moderately branched, rapids, with many islands. The width of the river is 5-15 m, the slope is 18 meters per kilometer. Mixed nutrition, with a predominance of rain, floods are often frequent, sometimes very destructive. On certain sections of the river bank are fortified.

It originates on the north-eastern slopes of the Putilla ridge, in the south-west of the village of Ploskaya . It flows first from the southwest to the north-east and north, and within the Verkhovyna-Putilsky low mountains - mainly from the south-east to the north-west and north.

Right tributaries: Demen, Lustun, Foski, Ketlerovka, Biskov. Left tributaries: Ripeni, Storonets, Dikhtinets, Mice. On the river, there is an urban village of Putila .
