Parramatta Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburbs of Parramatta , the home arena of Western Sydney Wanderers football club, playing in the Australian A-League football , and the Parramatta Eels rugby club. Located in the heart of Sydney's suburb on the Parramatta River. It currently seats exactly 21,487 spectators. Built in 1985 . It was opened on March 5, 1986 by Queen Elizabeth II . It was reconstructed in 2002 - 2003 . At the time of the beginning of the reconstruction, it accommodated about 27,000 people.
