From the point of view of the administrative-territorial structure of the region , the Asbest civil defense, together with the Malyshevsky civil defense and the Reftinsky civil defense, is located within the administrative-territorial unit of the city ​​of Asbest . [2]

Geography

Asbestovsky urban district is located in the southern part of the Sverdlovsk region . Borders:

  • in the center - with the Malyshevsky urban district ;
  • in the north - with Rezhevsky urban district ;
  • in the northeast - with the Artyomovsky urban district ;
  • in the east - with the Sukhoi Log urban district and the Reftinsky urban district ;
  • in the south - with Beloyarsky urban district ;
  • in the west - with the Berezovsky urban district .

The length of the municipality from north to south is 36 km, from west to east - 26 km. The total length of the borders is 130 km. The area of ​​the municipality is 767.9 km² of land. The main territory is occupied by the state forest fund - 84 percent of the territory. The Bolshoi Reft River flows along its territory with the tributary Maly Reft , which merge to form the Reft River .

History

In 1992, from the city of Asbest and territories subordinate to the city administration, the municipality "City of Asbest" was formed. In 1995, the Reftinsky Village community was separated from the municipality, and in 1996, the Malysheva Worker Village community .

Since July 21, 2004 it is endowed with the status of an urban district [3] .

From January 1, 2006, the municipality "Asbest City" was transformed into the Asbest city district .

Abolished settlements

On November 27, 2001, the villages of Kommunalny and Osinovka were abolished [16] .

On November 22, 2004, the village of Ilyinsky located in the administrative borders of the city of Asbest was abolished [17] .
