Etymology
Beltir ( south alt . Beltyr ) - the confluence of rivers, crossing roads, a crossroads. In the village of Beltir two rivers merge: the Chagan and Taldura . [2]
History
Beltir village, 2015
It was almost completely destroyed by the Chui earthquake on September 27, 2003. After the earthquake partially restored. Authorities invited the residents of the destroyed village to move to the newly built New Beltir . However, only young residents exercised this right.
