The ancient family of the Gavrenevs comes from Ivan Ivanovich Gavrenev , who was a stolnik under the Grand Duke Vasily Dmitrievich . His son, Pavel, in the monks of Paisius , founded the Pokrovsky monastery on the Volga, near Uglich, where he was abbot , and the Orthodox Church confronted the saints.
Ivan Afanasevich Gavrenev († 1662) was a duma clerk under Mikhail Fedorovich , and under Alexei Mikhailovich a duma nobleman, and from 1654 a deanery . Stepan Mikhailovich Gavrenev governor in Ryazhsk in 1632-1634 g [1] .
This genus died away in the second half of the 18th century.
Another kind of Gavrenevyh is of new origin and is included in the III part of the genealogical books of Moscow [2] and Tver provinces.
