Prurigo ( lat.prurigo , from prurio - itching) is a skin disease characterized by severe itching, nodular eruptions, bloody crusts and scratching, mainly on extensor surfaces of the extremities, buttocks , abdomen, back, lower back.

There are children's pruritus (it appears in infants prone to exudative diathesis, appears mainly on the face and scalp), adult and knobby (a small number of isolated grayish-brown nodules with relapses) pruritus.
