Quotes
- “No one, including medical hermeneutics, knows what Medgermeneutics is. Especially if you consider them as a complement to the world that I know. Although you can probably limit yourself to the statement that this is just the next generation (after ours), and that it is even - in a sense - a derivative of all the conceptual fuss and mess that was brewed in the 60s. That is, as it were, two steps, two steps, two rhythms of the same ... ” [4] - Ilya Kabakov , 2006 .
- “Shortly before the appearance of this name, we held joint discussions, recording them on a tape recorder. In the course of these conversations, we unexpectedly came across such an aesthetic category as “inspection”. At the same time, the term “Medgermeneutics” appeared, that is, “Medical hermeneutics”. Its essence is approximately as follows: the collective mentality constantly sends consciousness to the marginal areas - then ideology, then criticism, then again ideology. Such a swing is not imagined by evolution, but rather by the type of disease, that is, something that needs to be treated. In the process of therapy, things can be revealed that are no longer relevant to the mentioned problems and, as it were, coming out of its shores. The word "Medgermeneutics" conceals a fair amount of irony, since our discourse is characterized by the position of some diagnostic and at the same time pathological penetration into everything that Monastyrsky associates with "Teddy's syndrome." In addition, we had to face the problem of self-identification. Trying to solve it, we tried a lot of self-names: “inspectors are incorruptible officials of the era of fading flags”, “inspectors are the spies of schizophrenic China”, “specialists in the field of formation of aesthetic categories”, “specialists in arranging meanings”, etc. " [5 ] - Sergey Anufriev, 1989.
