A protest against the introduction of the Bunakovs' genealogy into the Velvet Book in the head of the Chernigov princes on June 10, 1687 was made by the okolnichny , Prince Ivan Khotetovsky [3] .
Two genera of the Bunakovs survived, recorded in part VI of the genealogy book: one from the Kaluga province [4] , from the ancestor Afanasy Sidorovich , the grandson of the aforementioned Semyon Timofeevich , and the other from Savva Mikhailovich , the grandson of the same Semyon Timofeevich . The last clan in the ancient nobility, on failure to provide sufficient evidence, was not approved by the heraldry of the governing Senate .
