Uta∽Kata ( jap. う た ∽ か た Uta-Kata ) is a Japanese anime series created by Hal Film Maker . There is also a name - 泡沫, and literally translates as “bubbles”, which are always used in the end of the series. It was first broadcast on TV Kanagawa from October 3 to December 18, 2004 . A total of 12 episodes were released.

The series can traditionally be attributed to the genre of the magical girl , but it contains scenes of violence against children [1] , eating disorder [2] and misanthropy [3] , which means that the series is aimed at an adult audience. In addition, the protagonist progresses with each series, it becomes emotionally unrestrained.
Content
Story
The day before the summer holidays, Ichika Tachibana is cleaning the old school building and notices an unusual mirror. Ichika meets in the mirror an unusual girl named Minatsu, who offers her to give 12 multi-colored stones, which contain the power of jinn. During the summer holidays, Ichika uses the power of stones to cope with various dangers. However, each call slowly destroys the owner's emotional, physical and mental strength. There is a risk of death. Later, Ichika begins to face fear, anger, and even lose control of the genies.

Ichika Tachibana ( Jap. 橘 一 夏 Tachibana Ichika ) is a 14-year-old high school student who lives in Kamakura and received 12 magic stones a day before the holidays, which sealed the power of jinn. Ichika is very honest, polite to everyone, including her parents and tries to do the right things. Because of her “correctness,” Ichiro is often mocked by friends. He is very afraid of ghosts and scared when he first sees Manatsu in the mirror. When he once again uses the power of a genie, gradually gives in to his feelings and later begins to lose his temper.

Manatsu Kuroki ( Jap. 城 城 夏 Kuroki Manatsu ) - Manatsu is the mirror opposite of Itica. When Itico hesitates, Manatsu boldly and unshakably goes to meet the problem. She also knows everything about Ichiro, her favorite places, things, fears. Like Ichiko is afraid of ghosts.

Satsuki Takigawa ( Jap. 多 岐 川 皐 月 Takigawa Satsuki ) - Ichiko sees her as Satsuki's girlfriend. She is a very strong and responsible person. Often begins to lead and plays a leading role in the company of the main characters. Despite his character, Satsuki avoids boys because of a sickly memory. She has an older brother, with whom she gets along well.

Keiko Takamura ( Jap. 篁 蛍 子 Takamura Keiko ) - She behaves like a real lady and from a good family. Gentle and kind. Her parents have a strong influence on her daughter, as they have created many problems for a boy who liked Keiko.

Michiru Munakata ( Jap. 宗 方 未知 留 Munakata Michiru ) - Loves literature. It has the power of vision and can see ghosts and spirits. Usually walks calm. She has a younger sister named Rui, whom she seeks to protect. Michiru can sometimes express strange phrases and cannot swim in the sea, claiming that her skin is too sensitive to salty water. Speaks in a low voice.

Say Todo ( jap. 藤 堂 誓 唯 To: up to: Say ) - One of Ichika’s mentors and a high school student. He teaches her grammar, literature and social sciences. Is the twin brother of Kai. In contrast, Kai looks more relaxed and softer. Ichika fell in love with him.

Kai Todo ( Jap. 藤 堂 繪 委 To: before: Kai ) - Another mentor Ichiro and Say's twin brother. He teaches her math and science. In contrast, Say is more open and strong by nature. He is in love with Say's twin brother.

Saya Kogure ( Jap. 小 暮 沙耶 Kogure Saya ) is a mysterious woman who hides from most people's eyes. She works in the fashion industry and the neighbor of the Itibana family. But this is only an illusion. He wants to get the power of the jinn from Ichika. It can be anywhere at will and transform your scarf into a scythe of death. But she does not interfere in the life of the current carrier, as he does not need to know about the consequences of using the power of jinn until the very end.

Criticism
Anime Encyclopedia: A Guide to Japanese Animation since 1917 compared the Uta Kata series with the Mahoromatic TV series, noting that this story is "an allegory for the end of childhood, as the last vacation before the start of entering the adult world, full of responsibilities" his “meaningless rehash of the elegiac quality of the original series, where is the drama itself?” [5] .
