Tsibulskaya, Julia Georgievna

Julia Georgyevna Tsibulskaya ( roman. Iulia Ţibulschi , Polish. Julia Cybulska ; born June 15, 1933 , Leovo , Bessarabia ) - Moldavian Soviet composer, musicologist, teacher. Member of the Union of Composers of the USSR ( 1977 ). Honored Art Worker of Moldova ( 1992 ) [1] .

Biography

She graduated from the Chisinau College of Music (1954), the Theoretical and Composer Department of the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Leningrad Conservatory (1960). She was engaged in the study of folklore motifs in the work of Karol Szymanowski , Frederic Chopin .

Among the teachers of the conservatory who determined the future career of Yulia Tsibulskaya are V.N.Salmanov (orchestration, composition), Alla Petrovna Maslakovets (student of Maria Yudina , piano), F.A. Rubtsov (folklore), Alexander Naumovich Dolzhansky (polyphony).

From 1960 to 1974 he was a teacher at the Chisinau Conservatory (G. Muzicci Institute of Arts). From 1974 to 1977 - a researcher in the Department of Ethnography and Art Studies at the Academy of Sciences of the Moldavian SSR . From 1977 to 1988 - music editor at the publishing house "Literature of Artistry".

Currently resides in Nuremberg ( Germany ).
