Millennium

Beginning of the board

The chronicle does not reflect the beginning of the thousand of Kondrat, only participation in the Battle of Rakovors and in the list of thousands, where he is placed between Zhiroslav and Ratibor Kluksovich [1] . But he is known for several letters . After being accepted into the management of Novgorod land in Tver Prince Yaroslav Yaroslavich [2] on January 27, 1264, a number of agreements were signed with him. The first contract under 1264, in addition to the prince, was signed by the posadnik Mikhail Fedorovich and the thousands of Kondrat on behalf of the whole of Novgorod, and the following contract was also signed in 1266 ( V.L. Yanin believes that the second contract was also signed in 1264 . [3] ). In these treaties, the power of the prince of Novgorod was cut, giving greater power to the posadnik [4] . Now the prince could not decide anything without a posadnik - he could not change officials, could not independently give letters and judge, could not conclude trade agreements with foreigners and other things [5] .

Sotsky

In the Charter of Yaroslav on bridges, Kondrat appears as Sotsky, as well as Ratibor [6] . Yanin suggests that this charter could be written at a time when Kondrat and Ratibor were still alive, that is, approximately in 1265 - 1267 . And the fact that at that time Kondrat was sotsky, does not contradict the fact that he could be simultaneously with this position and a thousand [7] .

Battle of Rakovors

Thousand Kondrat took part in the Battle of Rakovors on February 18, 1268. However, according to the results of the battle, Kondrat disappeared without a trace. The chronicler did not know whether Kondrat died or not, as in some other participants in the battle. In the same year, after the death of Mikhail Fedorovich, posadnichestvo was given to Pavshe Onaninich, but thousands were not given to anyone at first, as they hoped for Kondrat to appear [8] .
