History

Rīgas radiofons (1925-1940)

In 1925, the Rīgas radiofons (Riga Radio Broadcasting) company was established, which broadcasts on medium waves [1] [2] [3] .

State Radio and Television of the Latvian SSR (1940-1990)

After joining the USSR in 1940, the Rigas radiofons was reorganized into the Committee for Radioification and Broadcasting under the Council of People's Commissars of the Latvian SSR (Radio Committee of the Latvian SSR).
