There was a parish school at the church. In 2002, the church is updated with icons and new paintings. In the Russian State Historical Archive of St. Petersburg, they found a sheet of the Veinian church parish in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, which directly indicates the parish of the village of Veino and the presence of a stone church in the village, built in 1810.

In 2008, at the expense of the budget of the district, the natural source of water located on the territory of the Orthodox Church of the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary was reconstructed.
