Content
History
In the second half of the 18th century, a regularly planned park was arranged on Petrovsky Island. Two main alleys, one along the island and the other across, converged to a large circular square, in the center of which stood a wooden palace.
From the middle of the 19th century until the end of the 1940s, the western part of the longitudinal alley was sometimes included in Petrovsky Prospekt [2] .
The modern name Petrovskaya Spit was given in 1909 along Petrovsky Island [2] .
