Career

The early years

Tim was born on October 5, 1987 in St. Louis , Missouri . While studying at St. Louis University in 2006-2009, he played for the university team at the National University Sports Association . In 2008 and 2009, he also played forfarm club "Chicago Fire" in the amateur league [2] .

Club

At the 2010 MLS Superdraft , Rome was selected in the second round under a common 18th number by the New York Red Bulls Club [3] . He made his debut for the club on March 27, 2010 in the game against the Chicago Fire , in which he took the starting lineup and spent all 90 minutes on the field [4] . September 11, scored his first goal in his career, at the gate of the Colorado Rapids . During the season, Rome played all 30 matches and helped the club win the Eastern Championship Conference. At the end of the year, he was one of the contenders for the Rookie of the Year title at MLS.

On January 24, 2012, the New York Red Bulls accepted the Bolton Wanderers ' arrangement for the sale of Rome for £ 2.5 million [5] .
