In accordance with Law No. 764 of 12/27/2001 on the administrative-territorial structure of the Republic of Moldova [1] , the Ocnita District includes 33 settlements, including:
- 3 cities - Ocnita ( Mold. Ocniţa ), Otaci ( Mold. Otaci ), Frunze ( Mold. Frunză );
- 8 villages that are not part of the communes;
- 22 villages that make up 10 communes.
