On the left tributary of the Birch river, Berezov cups, an analogue of the Talov cups found at the source of the Basandayka , are found.

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Verkhneobsk basin district , the water sector of the river is Tom from the city of Kemerovo to the mouth, and the river sub-basin is Tom. The river basin - (Upper) Ob until the confluence of the Irtysh [2] .
