Alexey Sergeyevich Spiridonov ( December 4 (17), 1903 - July 21, 1976 ) - Soviet engineer-designer of rocket and space technology, director of the Research Institute-88 (1953-1959) [1] .

Biography
Spiridonov Alexey Sergeevich was born on December 4, 1903 in the village of Maksimovo, Staritsky district, Tver region.
- 1918 - went to work in Leningrad at the artillery factory No. 7, where successively over the course of 14 years he went through the steps of a laborer, rejecter, turner, supervisor, shop manager, department head, commercial director and chief engineer.
- 1932 - 1938 - without interruption from production, he managed to master the full course of the mechanical faculty of the Leningrad Industrial Polytechnic Institute , having received a diploma of a mechanical engineer-technologist, and with honors.
- 1939 - 1940 - works as Chief Engineer of an artillery factory in Bryansk .
- 1940 - 1941 - works as Chief Engineer of the Artillery Plant in Kolomna .
- 1942 - 1945 - works as Chief Engineer of the Artillery Plant in Ust-Katav , Chelyabinsk Region.
- 1945 - Alexey Sergeevich was sent to Germany to get acquainted with developments in the field of rocketry.
- 1946 - 1948 - A. S. Spiridonov - Chief Engineer of the Seventh (missile) Main Directorate of the USSR Ministry of Arms.
- 1948 - 1949 - worked as the Chief Engineer of NII-88 , where, together with the first director - L. R. Honor, laid the foundations of the experimental and testing facilities of the institute and its Zagorsky branch.
- 1949 - for six months he again heads the Seventh (missile) Main Directorate of the USSR Ministry of Arms.
- 1949 - 1953 - was the head of the Sixth Main Directorate, responsible for the creation of the ground part of missile systems.
- 1953 - 1959 - Alexey Sergeevich was replaced by M.V. Yangel as Director of the Research Institute-88 .
- 1956 - OKB-1 S.P. Korolev stood out, OKB-2 and OKB-3 were combined into a single OKB-2 headed by A.M. Isaev , which was allocated from the institute in January 1959 , and the Design Bureau NII- was created 88 for the design of special and non-standard equipment.
- 1959 - August 3 - for health reasons, left the post of Director, but remained at the Institute as a senior engineer in the unit, which in 1966 passed to the Research Institute of Measuring Equipment (NIIIT).
Death
A.S. Spiridonov died on July 21, 1976 after a serious illness. He was buried at the Nevzorovsky cemetery, Pushkin district, Moscow region [2] .
Rewards
He was awarded two orders of Lenin (1944, 1956), two orders of the Red Banner of Labor (1942, 1957), orders of the Patriotic War of 1 tbsp. (1945), Red Star (1941) and medals.
