The National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine (NAGU) ( Ukrainian National Academy of Sovereign Administration under the President of Ukraine (NADU) ) is the higher educational institution of Ukraine in the training, retraining and advanced training of public servants and local government officials.

History
The Academy was founded on May 30, 1995 by the Decree of the President of Ukraine [1] on the basis of the Higher Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, located in the building of the former Higher Party School. In 1992, the Higher Party School was transformed into the Institute of Public Administration of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
According to this Decree, a branch of the Academy in Dnepropetrovsk was also created. In September of the same year, branches were founded in Lviv , Odessa and Kharkov . In 2001, these four regional representations received the status of regional institutions.
By presidential decree of August 21, 2003, for a significant contribution to the development of public administration and taking into account national and international recognition of the results of the Academy’s activities, it was given national status [2] .
The Academy unites eight institutes, 8 faculties, 57 departments. The Academy staff includes 187 doctors of sciences, professors and 437 candidates of sciences, associate professors. About 170 specialists in public administration are involved in the educational process.
