Hero of the Soviet Union , fighter pilot Alexey Ivanovich Nikitin (1918-1954) was born in the village of Lyskovo, Vesyegonsk district, Tver province . In 1934 he graduated from 7 classes of Turkovskaya junior high school, then went to Moscow.
The house where the hero was born is a historical monument, and is under state protection.
