Biography

Born in 1914 , in the village of Melekhovo, now in the Golovinsky rural settlement , Uglich district , Yaroslavl region .

In the Red Army since November 1936.

Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940, in which military distinctions he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner .

Member of the CPSU (b) since 1939.

From the first days in the Great Patriotic War, he fought in various command posts on the Karelian Front; since May 1942, he commanded the 2nd Tank Battalion of the 56th Tank Brigade of the 3rd Tank Army. on the Voronezh Front, renamed in October 1943 to the 1st Ukrainian Front, where he commanded a motorcycle battalion, and then the 50th separate motorcycle Kiev-Berlin Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky Regiment of the 3rd Guards Tank Army [2] , with which he liberated Prague . [3]

For the liberation of Prague was personally mentioned in a letter of thanks in an order of the Supreme Commander [4]

After the war, he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR for many years, in 1962-1970 he headed the Kharkov Regional Military Commissariat.

Retired Major General .

He lived in Kharkov . He worked in Kharkov DOSAAF . [5] From 1990 to 1994, he headed the committee of veterans of military service and law enforcement agencies in the Kharkiv Regional Organization of Veterans of Ukraine. [6]
