Honored Artist of the Kirghiz SSR

Honored Artist of the Kirghiz SSR - the honorary title was conferred by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kirghiz SSR and was one of the forms of recognition of distinguished citizens by the state and society. Established on January 10, 1939 . Awarded to prominent artists, especially distinguished in the development of theater, music, cinema, circus, directors, composers, conductors, accompanists, art directors of music, choral, dance and other groups, other creative workers, musicians, performers for their excellence, and assistance the development of art. The next degree of recognition was the assignment of the title " People's Artist of the Kirghiz SSR ", then " People's Artist of the USSR ".

From 1919 until the decree of 1939 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic. It was conferred by the colleges of the Narkompros of the republics, orders of the people's commissar of education, the executive committees of the regional and regional councils.

The first awarded in 1939 were the leading artists of the Osh Music and Drama Theater named after Babur Rosiyon Muminov and Abdulla Fayzullaev [1] and Nikolai Petrovich Alekseev - trombonist.

The last awarded by this honorary title in 1990 were the leading artists of the Osh Babur Nigora Rasulzhonov Music and Drama Theater , Umarjon Mamirov [2] , Rezhabboy Tojiboyev, Mahmudjon Rakhmatov [3] and Kayypbek Aytygulovich Aytygulov - the flutist.

With the collapse of the Soviet Union in Kyrgyzstan, the title “Honored Artist of the Kirghiz SSR” was replaced by the title “Honored Artist of Kyrgyzstan”, while taking into account the merits of citizens of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan awarded with state awards of the former USSR and the Kirghiz SSR, the rights and obligations provided for by the legislation of the former USSR and the Kyrgyz SSR on awards.
