MAZ-105 is the first Belarusian articulated bus of a particularly large class. It was produced by the Minsk Automobile Plant since 1997 (mass production since 2000 ). Unified with other buses of the MAZ-103 family, created by analogy with Neoplan buses. In 2009, a restyling of the relative original design was made. Has a drive on middle wheels (rear wheels of the tractor).

MAZ-105 has a modern look due to the large and variously shaped side windows, the windshield of a rectangular, slightly convex shape, divided into two parts, crowned by a display to indicate the route number.
The MAZ-105 engine is the German Mercedes-Benz OM906LA ( Euro-3 ) with a volume of 6.37 liters and a capacity of 279 horsepower. Equipped with an automatic Voith gearbox.
The maximum speed of the MAZ-105 is 75 km / h. On request, air conditioning, electronic information system, sliding windows can be installed. The capacity of the model is 160-175 people, the number of seats varies from 30 to 36.
It is operated in many cities of Belarus , Russia , Ukraine , Kazakhstan , Cuba .
History
It has been produced at MAZ since 2000 . The first prototype was built in 1997 , in the next two years, mass production of buses of this model was being prepared. A number of exhibition items were built. Since 2000, mass production has begun. In 2002, the engine compartment was reduced in height (before that it occupied a place from floor to ceiling). In January 2009, a restyling was carried out, relating mainly to the front mask. In 2014, the production of MAZ-105 buses was discontinued, the last batch arrived in the summer of 2014 in Baranovichi . But at the factory there are six body shells for this model of bus, which were assembled in late autumn 2017 . The buses produced after a three-year break arrived again in Baranavichy.
