Biography
Peter Ivanovich Kirichko began his career at the military art studios in the cities of Romny and Poltava (1920-1924, teachers A. Mikhailovsky, B. Komarov).
From 1924 to 1925 he was engaged in cultural and educational work in the countryside. P. Kirichko continued his studies at the Odessa Art Institute (1925-1930, prof. D.K. Krainev, P.G. Volokidin) - faculty of easel painting . Even in his student years, he held a public position as secretary of the Odessa branch of AHCHU .
At the end of the institute, P. Kirichko worked for a short time in the Donbas and soon was sent to the city of Zaporozhye with the direction of the People’s Commissariat of Education and the Kharkov Art Institute to organize the art workers faculty (Rabfak) and the art branch of the AHCHU . He worked as a decorator at the Zaporizhzhya Theater named after M. Zankovetskaya .
From 1932 to 1943 he lived and worked in Moscow, where he was a member of the All-Artists Union of Moscow Artists. He took part in the decoration of the Moscow Agricultural Academy. K.A. Timiryazev , Savelovsky (Butirsky) station , premises of the People's Commissariat of Education of the RSFSR .
In 1935, he was accepted into the work as an artist of art and decoration master's at the USSR State Academic Bolshoi Theater . In 1943 he moved to live in his native village of Vovchik . He worked as a graphic designer, painted portraits of fellow villagers, Heroes of the Soviet Union , still lifes and local landscapes with oil paints, pastels and colored pencils.
Exhibitions
Peter Ivanovich Kirichko exhibited his works at exhibitions near Romny (1920), Odessa (1926 and 1929), a participant in the 2nd and 4th All-Ukrainian art exhibitions of the People's Commissariat of Education of the Ukrainian SSR (1929 and 1931), and a participant in the 2nd traveling art exhibition of the Academy of Arts "Cultural trip to the Donbass" (1930), Lubny (1957). A personal exhibition of the works of P. I. Kirichko took place in Lubny in the mid-50s. An insignificant part of the works of P. I. Kirichko is preserved in the Vovchitsky Museum of Local Lore named after I.I. Saenka.
