The Cymric ( SS Cymric ) is a British steamer of the White Star Line company. It was developed for transportation of rich farmers, respectively, only the first class and premises for cattle were supposed. After the start of the design, it became clear that such shipments were already unpopular, and the premises for animals were given to the third class. Went on his first flight from Liverpool to New York on April 29, 1898. Arrived at the destination on May 9 of the same year. He worked on this line until 1903, when he switched to Liverpool - Boston . In 1912, the former line returned.

During the Anglo-Boer and World War I was a troop transport . May 8, 1916 was torpedoed by a German U-20 submarine, commanded by Walter Schwierger . 5 people died. Sank off the southern coast of Ireland , the exact location is unknown.
