Biography
In February 1270, after the death of the Livonian master Otto von Lautenberg in the battle with the Lithuanians at Karus, Andreas von Westfalen was appointed vice-landmaster of the Teutonic Order in Livonia .
In September 1270, the Livonian vice-master Andreas von Westfalen was defeated in a battle with the Lithuanians. In the battle, the master himself and 20 knight crusaders were killed. Walter von Nordeck became his successor.
