Mikael Karlsson (Mikael Carlsson) - Swedish singer and songwriter, best known for the musical project The Honeydrips . He was also a vocalist in the bands Kissing Mirrors and Dorotea [1] . According to the musician, the greatest influence on him was the work of Felt and Saint Etienne [2] .

His debut single “Save Me” / “Lay Your Arms Around Me” was released in 2004 [3] , after which Karlsson signed a label with Sincerely Yours [4] , which posted Åh, Karolin in December 2006 " [5] , a cover version of Pierre Bachelet 's song" Emmanuelle "from the eponymous erotic film [6] . The following spring, the release of Here Comes the Future was released . In support of the release, the singles “I Wouldn't Know What to Do” and “(Lack of) Love Will Tear Us Apart” [1] were released . The list of “Top 500 Tracks of the 2000s” [7] , compiled by the editors of the Pitchfork website, included a remix of the Swedish DJ and producer Axel Vilner (also known as The Field ) on the track “Fall from a Height” [4] , in the original versions of which were used samples from the films " Annie Hall " and " Rebel for no reason " [8] . Reviews of the album appeared on Allmusic and Pitchfork [9] [10] , and in 2008 the CD was awarded the Manifest Award [11] .
In June 2010, Mikael Karlsson announced that the Honeydrips project ceases to exist, and released the last track under this name - a cover version of the song "Höstvisa", composed by Tove Jansson and Erna Tauro [12] . He later joined the WÆE group [13] .
