Biography
Born into a peasant family. He began his career in 1927 as a mechanic at the Krasny Molot plant in Grozny . In 1931 he moved to Moscow , worked at the Electrozavod and studied at the Moscow Aviation Institute . Since 1936, after graduation, he worked as an engineer, deputy chief engineer, chief technologist at a Moscow enterprise. In 1943-1945 he fought on the fronts of World War II . For participation in the battles he was awarded the Order of the Red Star and several medals [1] . [2]
Sazykin came to the aircraft factory in the former village of Semenovka (now Arsenyev) in 1945. He began his career on December 8, 1945 with the post of chief technologist, production manager. Since 1959, at his death in 1976, he held the position of director of an airline [3] .
Sazykin is the organizer of the production of training aircraft U-2 , Yak-18 , Yak-18PM, in which modern pilots have won many prizes at international competitions. He initiated the production of airplanes for local passenger airlines: the An-14 Pchelka , the Pioneer and Primorets gliders , the Sever-2 snowmobile, and the Yak-50 international-class aerobatic aircraft, which were readily bought abroad.
With the participation of Sazykin, the city of Arsenyev was built, schools, residential buildings and kindergartens were built, the Palace of Culture, a stadium and a pool were built. He was awarded the honorary title "Excellence in Public Education", was elected an honorary citizen of Arseniev.
Rewards
In 1971, Sazykin was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor, and in 1976, the Lenin Prize was awarded.
Memory
- A street in the city of Arsenyev and the airline Progress, which he headed, were named after N. I. Sazykin.
- In 1981, a memorial plaque with a bas-relief of Sazykin and the text of the decision of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR of April 6, 1977 on the assignment of the name of its former director to the Arsenyevsky Machine-Building Plant "Progress" was installed on the building of the Progress airline’s factory office. Also in 1984, a memorial plaque was installed on the house in which Sazykin lived: “The Lenin Prize laureate, Honorary Citizen of the city of Arsenyev, the hero of Sots, lived in this house from 1967 to 1976. Labor Nikolai Ivanovich Sazykin ” [4] .
- In memory of Sazykin in Arseniev an annual volleyball tournament is held with the participation of teams from various regions of the Far East [5] .
