Biography
On July 26, 1964, he was ordained a presbyter in the Melkite Greek Catholic Church . Was married. The next year he converted to Orthodoxy [1] .
He entered St. Vladimir’s Theological Seminary in Yonkers and at the same time served in the parishes of the Antioch Patriarchate: St. George’s Church in Albany, New York and then in St. George’s Church in Witchita, Kansas . He was then admitted to the Romanian bishopric of the Orthodox Church in America and served at the St. Thomas Church in St. Louis , Missouri. Then he moved to the Albanian diocese, served in St. George's Cathedral in Boston [1] .
In 1975, after the death of Bishop Stephen (Lasko) , he headed the Albanian Orthodox Diocese [3] . In June 1979 he was elected bishop. [1]
November 10, 1979 in St. George's Cathedral was ordained bishop of Boston, New English and Albanian. By that time, his diocese numbered about 75,000 people [4] .
In 1983, he was appointed Bishop of Bethesda, Vicar of the Diocese of Washington .
In March 1985, he was elected bishop of Fort Lauderdale, vicar of the Diocese of the South [1] .
At Easter 1989, the Governor of the Midwest Diocese is also mentioned.
On May 3, 1991, he was again Bishop of Bethhedes, Vicar of the Diocese of Washington.
By the decision of the Synod of Bishops of March 19-22, 2001, Bishop Mark of Bethesda was put to rest with the title of “former Boston” [5] .
The OCA is currently listed as living alone in Boynton Beach , Florida on the official website of the OCA [6] .
