Biography
In 1944 he graduated from Kazakh State University (now Al-Farabi Kazakh National University ). In 1976-1988 he was vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR ; Since 1997 - Honorary Director of the Institute of Zoology . Since 2003, he is an honorary member of the Parasitological Society at the Russian Academy of Sciences [1] .
Scientific activity
The author of more than 300 scientific papers [1] , the main works relate to the field of general helminthology, as well as the fauna and taxonomy of parasites of fish, birds and mammals of Kazakhstan . Evgeny Vasilievich Gvozdev developed the questions of the natural foci of helminthiases of domestic animals, studied the parasitofauna of animals acclimatized in Kazakhstan, the biology of nematodes and tapeworms parasitizing in hunting and hunting animals, found out the role of birds in the spread of helminthiases during seasonal migrations, described over 30 new for science . Under the guidance of Gvozdev, studies were conducted to decipher the life cycles of helminths - pathogens of dangerous diseases of humans and animals.
Awards
He was awarded two Orders of Lenin , the Order of the Patriotic War II degree , the Order of the Red Banner of Labor , the Order of Kurmet [1] .
