Biography
Born in the family of a titular adviser , pharmacist Bogdan Khristianovich Wolf; Lutheran . He was brought up in a private boarding house at the Lutheran church in Moscow, in 1810 he was enrolled in the Moscow department of the Medical and Surgical Academy . During the Patriotic War of 1812, he voluntarily worked in the Kasimov Military Hospital. On August 25, 1814 he graduated from the Academy with a silver medal. On July 13, 1821 he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree for his diligent service.
Member of the Union of Welfare since 1820 and the Southern Society . The Union of Welfare was adopted by Pestel . Wolf participated in a meeting at Pestel’s apartment in March 1821 , which marked the beginning of the Southern Society. Known for the decisiveness of his political convictions, a supporter of revolutionary actions, the introduction of a republican form of government and the destruction of those who will interfere with this. Arrested on January 6, 1826 in the 2nd Army, delivered to St. Petersburg to the Peter and Paul Fortress on January 15, 1826 . Sentenced to 2nd category and confirmed on July 10, 1826, sentenced to hard labor for 20 years, on August 22, 1826, the term of hard labor was reduced to 15 years. He served his sentence in the Chita prison and Petrovsky factory (since September 1830 ). November 8, 1832 the term was reduced to 10 years. In 1835 he was transferred to a settlement in s. Urik of Irkutsk province. Since 1836, due to the insufficient number of doctors in Eastern Siberia, Wolf was allowed to practice medicine. May 20, 1845 transferred to Tobolsk , was appointed a doctor in the hospital of Tobolsk prison castle ( 1852 ).
He died in Tobolsk, buried in the Zavalny cemetery next to Alexander Muravyov .
