Gennady Stepanovich Rodionov (born December 14, 1949 ) is an opera singer (bass), Honored Artist of Russia, People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan . Member of the Union of Theater Workers (1982).

Biography

Gennady Stepanovich Rodionov [1] was born on December 14, 1949 in Ufa.

After graduating from school No. 45, Gennady entered the Hydraulics plant . He worked at the machine as a welding clerk. Soloed in the vocal and instrumental ensemble, participated in the TV show "Hello, we are looking for talents."

Having started to study at the Ufa College of Arts, from the second year at the invitation of the rector of the Institute of Arts, Zagir Garipovich Ismagilov, he transferred to the university and in 1976 graduated from the Ufa State Institute of Arts (now the Ufa State Academy of Arts named after Zagir Ismagilov ) with a degree in solo singing ( class of People's Artist of the RSFSR and BASSR, Professor B.N. Valeeva ).

Since 1976 he has been working in the opera company of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater . He made his debut in the theater in two parts - Khan Konchak in the opera Prince Igor A. Borodin (thesis) and King Rene (opera Iolanthe P. Tchaikovsky).

Gennady Rodionov is a performer of both the opera repertoire and concert programs, including classics, pop songs.

The touring activity of G. Rodionov at home and abroad began in 1984 after winning the All-Russian contest of Soviet song performers (Sochi, 1982). Rodionov gave over 1,000 concerts in Siberia, the Far East, and BAM . For many years he collaborated with Russian composers: A. Pakhmutova, P. Aedonitsky, M. Fradkin, E. Krylatov, E. Ptichkin, worked with the USSR State Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra conducted by A. Petukhov. Recorded on the All-Union Radio and Central Television.

From 1992 to 2003, Rodionov worked under contract at the opera house in the city of Miningein (Germany). In 2002, he sang in the tetralogy The Ring of the Nibelungs by R. Wagner (directed by Christina Militz), staged by the rock opera Jesus Christ the Superstar by E. Webber. Professional musical publications recognized Gennady Rodionov as a “Wagnerian singer”, which is the highest vocal certification in German theaters.

Abroad, he worked with conductors Kirill Petrenko ( Germany ), Stefanos Tsialis (Germany), Wolfgang Hocke (Germany), Dufor (Switzerland), with directors August Everding (Germany), Christina Militz (Germany) Ingolf Hun (Germany).

In 2003, the artist returned to Ufa, continued to work in the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater, where he immediately entered the repertoire: Gremin in Eugene Onegin, Rene in Iolanta, Ramaris in Aida, and later Mephistopheles in the premiere of Faust .

Family: wife, Tatyana Nikolaevna (works in Germany as accompanist of the ballet company), two daughters, five grandchildren, including granddaughter Sofia Fedyaeva and grandson Gena.

In 1984 Rodionov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, in 1990 the title of People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and in 2010 the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

He performed on tour in countries: Australia, Austria, England, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Germany, Holland, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Thailand, Finland, Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, Sri Lanka.
