Novi fosili is a Croatian pop rock band founded in 1969. The first success was achieved in 1976 when the composer Raiko Dujmich joined the team. In the same year, the group performed at the Split festival, after which their song “Diridonda” became a national hit. The following albums were released in millions of copies, and the songs of the group won an honorable place in the repertoire of radio stations in Croatia.

In 1987, the group represented Yugoslavia at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Ja sam za ples”, which took fourth place, earning 92 points.
