Matteo Rabotini ( Italian: Matteo Rabottini ; born August 14, 1987 , Pescara ) is an Italian professional road racing cyclist who played for the Farnese Vini β Selle Italia team in 2011-2014, and has been on the Meridiana β Kamen team since 2016. Mountain King Giro d'Italia 2012.

Career
Matteo Rabotini, son of a professional eighties cyclist Lusiano Rabbotini, started cycling from an early age, and in 2006 signed a contract with the amateur team Aran Cucine, which he played for four years. The main victory for him was the title of champion of Italy among racers under the age of 23, which he won in 2009. This result allowed him to spend 2010 as an intern in the professional Lampre-ISD team.
In 2011, Rabotini signed a professional contract with the Farnese Vini β Selle Italia continental team, which made his debut in the Giro , which he completed in the final 112th position. In the same year, Matteor won his first professional victory, becoming the strongest in the fifth stage of the Tour of Turkey .
In 2012, Rabotini took part in the Giro for the second time. This time he became one of the heroes of the race. With a single eighty-kilometer lead, despite a fall on one of the slopes, he won the mountain 15th stage from Busto Arsizio to Lecco and won the blue miner shirt. At the 20th stage, Rabottini once again participated in the separation, scored extra mountain points and thus became the best mountain racer of the Giro.
Personal life
On June 6, 2012, a son, Diego, was born into the family of Matteo Rabotini and his wife Flavia.
