Biography and Creativity
She graduated from the Almaty Art College (1943) and the art and decorative department of VGIK ( Moscow , 1949). She began her creative career at the Kazakhfilm film studio, where she performed sketches for the films Love Poem (1954), Djigit Girl (1955), and It Was in Shugla (1955). In the 1960s, she created a series of works on the plots of the film “ Songs of Abai ” (“The Court of Biys ”, “Wedding Evening”, “Toy”, “Aitys”, “Meeting” and others). Worked in a variety of genres. In the 1960-1970s, she was painted landscapes and still lifes "Ayak-Kalkan", "The Road to Jailau ", "Ancient Ceramics", "Kobyz", "Yellow Apples", "Red Aport" and others. The desire to master new artistic forms was embodied in the creation of decorative and monumental compositions (“We are proud of time”, 1965; “The bowl of koumiss”, 1967), works of the portrait genre (“Portrait of a son”, 1964; “Portrait of the writer G. Mustafin”, 1965; “Portrait of K. Baiseitova”, 1974; “Portrait of actress Kh. Bukeyeva in the role of Aigerim in the play“ Abay “”, 1976; “Kelin from the Urals”, 1978; and others). Galimbaeva is the author of the albums “Kazakh Folk Costume” (1958, 1976).
Awards
- Laureate of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR named after Chokan Valikhanov (1972).
- She was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and the Order of the Badge of Honor .
- 2007 - Order of Parasat [2] .
